FARGO (KFGO) - A federal appeals court judge from Fargo has died.
Judge Myron Bright was a member of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Bright was a native of Eveleth, Minn. He was nominated to the bench in 1968 by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) said “Judge Bright’s empathy and compassion were unsurpassed – whether at home or in the courtroom.”
Bright was 97. He was one of the longest-serving federal judges in the nation.
