(KFGO) - The North Dakota Department of Transportation and the Highway Patrol have closed I-94 from the Montana border to Fargo, except for the Fargo/West Fargo Dickinson and Bismarck/Mandan metro areas, due to snow and ice on roadways, with blowing and drifting snow creating near zero visibility and life threatening driving conditions.,
I-29 from Grand Forks to the Canadian border is also closed. U.S. Highway 2 between Grand Forks and Minot remains closed.
Highway 52 from Minot to Carrington and Highway 281 from Carrington to the Canadian border are also closed.
Drivers are reminded that going around roadblocks on closed highways is agaist the law and violators can face fines up to $250.
