VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) - A second city employee in Valley City is leaving, with a payout of $150,000 over two years.
The city commission has approved the agreement with City Attorney Russ Myhre. Myhre will stay on for six months or until a new city attorney is hired.
Mayor Dave Carlsrud says the commission believes it's a fair settlement. He says Myhre's law firm suffered financially during the investigation into claims of a hostile work environment within the city.
Earlier, the city reached a deal with Fred Thompson. The former police chief was paid $110,000 when he retired.
