BISMARCK, ND (KFGO) - The North Dakota Game and Fish Dept. has released a video that investigators hope will help solve the poaching of a deer during the Dakota Access Pipeline Protest in October.
The video several people standing on both sides of the Cannonball River near the Highway 1806 bridge. Investigators say the whitetail buck was struggling in the river, pulled to shore and apparently killed by stabbing it, and then holding its nose in the mud to suffocate it.
Chief Game Warden Bob Timian is asking anyone with information on the poaching case to call the "Report All Poachers Hotline” at 1-800-472-2121.
Callers can remain anonymous and there may be a reward for any convictions.
