GRAND FORKS (KFGO) - A man from India was arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat at Grand Forks International Airport Saturday. The threat forced evacuation of the airport.
53-year old Paraman Radhakishan was taken into custody without incident on terrorizing charges. He could also face federal charges.
Police were called to the airport shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday after he made threatening comments to airport workers. Radhakishnan was flying from Grand Forks to Minneapolis.
After the Grand Forks Regional bomb squad checked out his luggage, investigators determined there was no further threat and the airport was reopened.
Radhakishnan's motive is still under investigation, however police say it's possible he became upset with airport staff. Police say whatever the reason, any threat of this kind is taken seriously.
