FARGO (KFGO) - A smash-and-grab attempted burglary early Friday in Fargo.
Tipped by an alarm, police responded to Sports Vape, 1621 South University Drive, where they found a glass door smashed.
Officers spotted two male suspects, one with a crowbar, dressed in black, running from the scene and gave chase. Sgt. Matt Ysteboe says they caught up to the suspects about seven blocks away, outside Fargo South High. One suspect was detained. The second suspect managed to climb the fence at the football field and briefly gave police the slip. West Fargo police arrested him.
Ysteboe says investigation is underway to determine if the pair is connected to another attempted burglary earlier at Electric Underground, a video, vape store, at 3109 13th Avenue South in Fargo.
It does not appear anything was stolen in either incident.
Both suspects are West Fargo juveniles.
