BISMARCK (KFGO) - A state lawmaker from Bismarck says he is "seriously considering" entering the U.S. Senate race next year.
Republican State Rep. Rick Becker says he's been thinking about getting into the race since the November election.
Becker would have to win the Republican primary before advancing to the general election against Sen. Heidi Heitkamp. Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer has also been mentioned as a possible contender.
Becker says a Facebook page entitled "Rick Becker for U.S. Senate" was started by supporters without his knowledge.
