FERGUS FALLS, MN (KFGO) - Three St. Paul men have been charged in Otter Tail county after a huge drug bust on I-94 near Fergus Falls. They were arrested Wed. after a traffic stop by a state trooper.
Asst. county attorney Ryan Cheshire says the pickup the men were in had an obstructed license plate. He says the man gave conflicting stories about where they had been and where they were headed. Chershire says the pickup was searched after it was towed from the highway. Investigators say they discovered 570 lbs. of packaged, high grade marijuana in 18 duffle bags in the bed of the pickup. It had a bed cover and the tailgate was locked.
The patrol believes the pot has a street value of $1.75 million.
