FARGO (KFGO) -- Midwest Radio Fargo-Moorhead launched The Teddy Bear Posse Monday, a campaign to collect new teddy bears and stuffed animals for law enforcement agencies. Officers and sheriff’s deputies will use the teddy bears to comfort small children involved in traumatic situations. Residents throughout the Red River Valley are encouraged to donate new teddy bears and stuffed animals in donation boxes located at the following locations:
Gate City Bank, (14 FM locations), Midwest Radio Fargo-Moorhead, 1020 25th St. S., Talecris Plasma Resources, Turf Tamers, North Dakota Autism Center, UPS Stores, Men’s Hair Company, Chuck E. Cheese, Muscatell Subaru, Anytime Fitness and Matt’s Automotive Service Centers.
The Teddy Bear Posse officially kicked off Monday, March 6 at the Teddy Bear Posse presenting partner Gate City Bank in downtown Fargo at 500 2nd Avenue N.
“Gate City Bank is committed to providing a better way of life in the communities we serve. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Teddy Bear Posse to help children feel comforted during a vulnerable time,” said Kevin Hanson, Executive Vice President and Director of Lending.
On May 24, the Teddy Bear Posse will end with a final donation event at the all-new Muscatell Subaru location in Moorhead.
“Our local law enforcement does so much for our community and it’s only fitting that we give back by introducing the Teddy Bear Posse to help area police to comfort children in traumatic situations,” said Dan Cash, Midwest Radio Fargo-Moorhead Market Manager.
