MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Some Minnesotans who enjoyed temperatures nearing 70 degrees last week may be swapping out their golf shoes for winter boots.
The National Weather Service says a winter storm could dump 4 to 8 inches beginning Sunday south of the Interstate 94 corridor. That should be followed by a second round of snow late Monday night into Tuesday morning, with a couple of additional inches expected.
The storm likely will cover an area from St. Cloud to Minneapolis to Red Wing. Winds are expected to stay around 10 to 15 mph, so blizzard conditions are not expected.
About 2-4 inches of snow are expected Sunday in the Fargo-Moorhead area. An additional inch may fall tonight.
