Grand Forks, N.D. (KFGO) - Grand Forks police along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol spent part of Sunday afternoon trying to stop the driver of a stolen car.
The police department says an officer spotted the stolen maroon 1999 Toyota Camry with North Dakota license plate 986AJF around 3:30 on Fenton Avenue. The officer attempted a stop but the driver fled.
A chase ensued leading officers through parts of East Grand Forks, downtown Grand Forks and past County Road 5 where the highway patrol took over.
During the chase, the driver was able to avoid tire deflation devices.
Authorities are asking if you see the vehicle to report it to GFPD at 701-787-8000.
