GRAND FORKS (KNOX) - The University of North Dakota has renamed a stretch of road on campus after a long-time alumni leader - Earl Strinden. Strinden worked for the U-N-D Alumni Association for 31 years including 26 years as its Chief Executive Officer.
The former stretch of Stanford Road runs past the Gorecki Alumni Center between University Avenue and Campus Road.
Strinden earned a degree from Concordia College in Moorhead before receiving a master’s degree from U-N-D 1958. He also served eleven terms in the North Dakota House, most of that time as majority leader.
