GLYNDON, Minn. (KFGO) - Fire has destroyed a well-known wood carving business in Glyndon. The fire at Andy Lake Woodworks was reported around 1 pm Saturday.
Glyndon Fire Chief Bob Cuchna says three log sheds and a shop building were destroyed. There were no injuries, but one firefighter was treated at the scene for becoming overheated.
Cuchna says it appears the fire started by spontaneous combustion of wood finishing chemicals. The state fire marshal's office is investigating.
Fire departments from Glyndon, Dilworth, Sabin and Hawley responded.
Andy Woodworks specializes in chainsaw-carved wood sculptures.
