FARGO (KFGO) - The Fargo City Commission has sided with a group of neighbors who are against a proposed high-density housing addition near Davies High School.
The developer of Bison Meadows wanted to build as many as 400 homes in the neighborhood, but nearby residents wanted the number capped at 300 homes.
Mayor Tim Mahoney says he thinks a compromise can be worked out between the residents and the developer.
The proposed changes require a 4-vote super majority in order to pass. Commissioners John Strand, Tony Grindberg and Tony Gehrig voted in favor of the 400-home plan. Mayor Tim Mahoney and Commissioner Dave Piepkorn voted against it.
