JAMESTOWN, ND (NewsDakota) - White Cloud returned to Jamestown Tues. morning, complete with a police escort.
The white Buffalo, who stood guard at a museum, died last Nov. on a ranch near Michigan, North Dakota where she lived out her last days. White Cloud was preserved by a taxidermist and is back at the National Buffalo Museum.
Arnie Becker helped care for White Cloud while she was growing up. He calls her return to Jamestown, "A homecoming."
$50,000 had to be raised to stuff White Cloud. $30,000 came from David and JoAnn Vining. The exhibit will open soon.
3-million people had stopped at the museum when White Cloud was alive.
