MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Toxicology test results show a California man found dead along the shore of the Cannonball River in April had alcohol in his system, but no drugs.

Authorities say 35-year-old Damjan Nedelkovski of Glendale, California was known to be at camps protesting the Dakota Access pipeline. Morton County sheriff's officials said Friday cell phone records show no activity from Nedelkovski since late October when friends and family had last contact with him.

Authorities say no cell phone was found in his personal belongings that were removed from his rental car, which was found abandoned in the Oceti protest camp. The victim has been positively identified by dental records and fingerprints. Authorities say arrangements are still being made to have his body transported to his family in the Republic of Macedonia.
