MILNOR, NORTH DAKOTA (KFGO) -- Law enforcement in southeastern North Dakota is looking for a man after a pursuit and the theft of at least two vehicles. Sargent County Sheriff Travis Paeper says it started at farm in Ransom County, south of Milnor, Tuesday night. "The homeowner came home, disrupted a theft at his property and contacted law enforcement. Eventually law enforcement made contact with the suspect vehicle and that turned into a pursuit through Ransom and into Sargent County and into the rural Forman area. During that pursuit the suspect did strike two different law enforcement vehicles. "Eventually, he ended up going down a two-tracked road and getting stuck in a bean field where he bailed out on foot" Paeper said.
A State Patrol airplane was called in along with K9s. The search was suspended about 3 a.m., and has now resumed.
Paeper says the man was originally driving a car with Montana plates that had been stolen in Wyoming. It's believed he took another car in Forman and later a pickup owned by Full Circle Ag.
The man, who Paeper says may have ties to southeastern North Dakota, is between 50 and 60 years-old. He's white, between 5'10" and 5'11" with a scruffy face and a small mustache.
Anyone who spots a man fitting that description or the Full Circle Ag pickup should call 911.
