FARGO (KFGO) - It won't be long now. Officials say this Thursday, Fargo's newest parking ramp is expected to open. The 455-stall ramp, at the corner of Roberts Street and 2nd Avenue North is part of the Roberts Commons complex.
Michael Orth, the project manager for the Kilbourne Group, the developer, says finishing touches are underway and Fargo Planning Director Jim Gilmour says if all goes accoring to plan the ramp should be ready for use this week..
The ramp is built on the site of two former city parking lots and completition should help alleviate some of the street parking problems in the area.
Vehicles will still be able to use the ramp as construction continues on a 72-unit apartment complex and retail space that will be wrapped around three sides of the four level parking structure. That work will be completed by next spring. The project is costing just over $20 million.
