Grand Forks, N.D. (KFGO) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol is thanking citizens for their help after a high speed chase.
The patrol says around 5:30 p.m. Friday, a trooper attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle going over 100 mph on I-29, 23 south of Grand Forks. The vehicle didn't stop and eventually exited the interstate at Demers Avenue in Grand Forks.
Law enforcement lost sight of the vehicle but credits citizens and other motorists for helping them relocate it. The suspect vehicle became disabled after blowing a tire. All four occupants then fled on foot into the Gateway Terrace Mobile Home Park.
A perimeter was set up. The patrol says again with the help of citizens all four suspects were located.
