FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A group that's been fighting a proposed controversial hog farm near Buffalo, ND is going to court.
Minnesota-based Pipestone Holdings has a permit from the North Dakota Dept. of Health to build the "Rolling Green Family Farms" hog facility.
When completed, the facility is estimated to hold up to 9,000 hogs and cost about $15 million.
Lee Ann Stout of "Concerned Citizens of Buffalo" tells KFGO News that a judge will be asked to block the project by rescinding the permit. Stout says there are questions about the health department's role in the process and whether the permit is legal.
Mayor Antoinette Babcock says she expects the documents to be filed Friday in Cass County District Court.
