FARGO (KFGO) - Fargo's newest addition to the downtown skyline is open.
The Roberts Commons Parking Garage, developed by The Kilbourne Group, cost about $20-million. Construction started 355 days ago.
Parking Commissioner Mike Williams says the ramp had long been under consideration and gained momentum a year-and-half ago after a bus tour to Sioux falls, Lincoln and Omaha. He says the parking commission had recommended parking improvements for years.
Work will now get underway on 72 apartments and retail and restaurant space. The ramp, with space for 455 vehicles and 50 bikes, is at the corner of Roberts St and 2nd Ave. N.
