BEMIDJI, Minn. (KFGO) - Two people were injured when a pickup collided with a freight train west of Bemidji. The Beltrami County Sheriff's Dept. says the crash happened around 2 pm Sunday in Lammers Township.
Investigators say the pickup was heading north when it was hit by an eastbound BNSF train.
The driver, 73-year-old Janice Callahan of Chatfield, Minn. was flown to North Memorial Hospital with "potentially life-threatening injuries."
A passenger, 74 year old Thomas Burke of Chatfield, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Bemidji.
The crash remains under investigation.
