WEST FARGO (KFGO) - More than four months after West Fargo Police Chief Mike Reitan was terminated, the department’s new chief has been sworn in.
Former FBI supervisory agent Heith Janke became the department’s new leader Monday.
Janke says it's "awesome to be back." He says he's eager to move forward with his new job and he’s ready to make a change.
He said he will emphasize building trust with his staff and his community.
Janke is an NDSU graduate and former track standout. He also graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law. His wife's parents live in West Fargo.
