BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Development Fund board in July awarded a total of nearly $2.5 million in financial aid to five projects.
The loan program within the state Commerce Department was created in 1991 to help new or expanding primary sector businesses - those such as manufacturers and food processors that create new wealth.
The largest loan award last month was $1.5 million for a soybean crushing plant at Spiritwood.
Smaller loans or lines of credit went to an agricultural technology business in Wahpeton, a Fargo technology company, a Fargo fitness products company and a Fargo daycare.
