FARGO (KFGO) - The Fargo Police Department received a very special gift Wednesday.
It's a large American flag Brylee Lessard created for her 4-H project. She won the "grand champion" award at this year's Minnesota State Fair for the project. Very unique, the flag was made using around 3000 plastic army men and plastic police officers, each one painted and glued to a board by Brylee.
Although she received several offers to buy the flag, Brylee was inspired to do the project after the loss of officer Jason Moszer, and she gave the Fargo Police Department the flag in his memory.
Grateful for the gift, police gave Brylee a department patch and Officer Moszer challenge coin and she got to to wear Officer Moszer's leather duty coat.
Police say the flag will find a special home in their building.
