Grand Forks, N.D. (KFGO) - Over two and a half tons of french fries will be consumed Thursday evening at the "World's Largest French Fry Feed" in Grand Forks.
The feed is part of the 52nd Potato Bowl week activities.
In addition to free fries, the feed will feature live entertainment, meet and greet with University of North Dakota football players and staff, and a french fry eating contest.
The event is at University Park at 4:00 p.m.
In 2015, 5,220 pounds of fries were served beating the old record set in 2014 by 90 pounds.
The Potato Bowl football game on Saturday will feature the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks vs the Missouri State University Bears. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
