BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Hunters in North Dakota can now access the updated guide to private land in the state that's open to public hunting.

The Game and Fish Department's Private Land Open To Sportsmen Guide for 2017 is available online at the agency's website and at most vendors throughout the state. It's not available by mail.

The program funded by hunter license fees is better known by the acronym PLOTS. It pays landowners who agree to keep their property open to public hunting.

PLOTS land is marked by yellow inverted triangular signs. The free guide features about 737,000 PLOTS acres.
