HAWLEY, Minn. (KFGO) - Investigators with the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources are looking for information about the shooting of two trumpeter swans in Clay County.
Conservation officer Bill Landmark says he found the dead swans in a ditch last Thursday, about six miles south of Hawley.
Landmark says anyone with information is asked to call Minnesota's Turn-In-Poacher Hotline at 218-326-8477.
Trumpeter swans have been federally-protected for nearly 100 years.
