FARGO, N.D (KFGO) - A several hour standoff Between Fargo police and a man inside a home in the 6600 block of 59th Avenue Southwest Saturday.
It began around 5:30 a.m. with a 9-1-1 call reporting the man making threatening comments who began texting out messages.
Deputy Police Chief Ross Renner says the man was armed and suicidal. Red River Valley SWAT was deployed because there was another person in the house, athough the man did not make any threats against that person. The man was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.
The incident ended shortly before 8 a.m.. There were no injuries. As a precaution, police barricaded off streets in the surrounding neighborhoods.
