BISMARCK, ND (KFGO) - A Bismarck man has been charged with assault on a police officer and robbery after he attacked a Bismarck patrol officer at a motel.
Donald Miller, 51, was shot in the stomach by the officer, who was responding to an unrelated call.
Police say Miller was trying to steal the officer's car. He was tased before he was shot during a struggle. The officer was punched and his eyes were gouged.
Miller is in a hospital after undergoing surgery.
