LISBON, N.D. (KFGO) - A Sheldon man has been charged with eight felonies and a misdemeanor for sexual misconduct with a girl that may have gone on for several years.
Terry Arneson, 48, was arrested after an investigation by the Ransom County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Social services first received a report that led to the investigation. The girl is now 16.
BCI Special Agent Ward Williams says Arneson admitted to the sexual abuse during an interview. According to court documents, Arneson told Williams that he didn't remember the first time he had sex with the girl because he was too intoxicated.
Arneson is in jail in Wahpeton with cash bond set at $100,000.
