Fergus Falls, MN (KFGO) - Target in Fergus Falls is closing.
A company representative said “this decision was not made lightly” and that “typically, a store is closed as a result of seeing several years of decreasing profitability.”
Ninety team members are currently employed at the store. All eligible employees are being offered the option to transfer to other target stores.
The store's last day is February 3, 2018.
A petition on Change.org to keep the store open has garnered more than 6,000 signatures.
This isn't the first big retailers to close in the town. Back in 2014, Kmart closed in Fergus Falls.
