Bismarck-based Guard unit might be called to Middle East

BISMARCK, N.D. - About 15 North Dakota Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Bismarck-based 957th Engineer Company have been notified that they might be called to duty in the Middle East.

The Guard says that if the unit is mobilized, the soldiers would serve in Kuwait in the summer of 2019.

The soldiers specialize in combat engineering bridge operations, and they would help train Iraqi forces.
