FARGO (KFGO) - Travelers can expect some security changes at North Dakota airports.

The Transportation Security Administration is adopting stronger carry-on baggage screening procedures across the country. The changes will be phased-in.

TSA'S Lorie Dankers says air travelers will be required to place all electronics larger than a cell-phone in X-ray bins. Liquids will also have to be removed from bags and scanned.

Dankers says TSA officers are undergoing training now and the new screening procedures will be in place at Hector International Airport by Jan. 1.

TSA came up with the new procedures after testing at 10 airports of various sizes across the country. Its in response to what she calls "adversaries" who are an evolving threat to aviation.
