Fargo, N.D. (KFGO) - Two people were injured in a house fire in north Fargo Sunday morning.

Fire Chief Bruce Anderson tells KFGO News crews were called to 721 29th St. N. shortly after 8 a.m.

"We weren't sure what we had, we were reported that it was some kind of disturbance at this address," Anderson said. "First crew arrived and there was an active fire burning here . . . three people were in the house, two got out on their own, there was another victim that was brought out by one of the crews, brought out of the basement, [and] transported to Sanford [Hospital] by F-M Ambulance."

One of the people who got out on their own suffered cuts to their arms. He was taken to the hospital by private party.

The house was significantly damaged. The fire was in both the basement and the first floor.

Anderson says an investigator is on scene and will investigate the origin and cause of the fire.

Four fire engines responded. The fire was out by 8:30 a.m. Crews are on scene, as of 9:30 a.m., working to put out hot spots.
