MANDAN, ND (KFGO) - The Morton County Sheriff's Office says a private Dakota Access Pipeline Security Guard was assaulted by protesters Sunday.
The assault happened at a construction site where about 200 protesters gathered on Highway 6, near St. Anthony, ND.
When law enforcement arrived, the protesters were seen carrying the security guard for about 100 yards. The guard was treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
Investigators also say the protesters damaged equipment and were attempting to plant trees in the pipeline right-of-way.
No arrests were made.
