MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO) - No one was hurt after a shotgun was fired in an apartment in Moorhead Tuesday morning.
Police responded to a basement apartment 824 2nd ave south around 5:45 a.m. after a report of a male saying someone had fired a shotgun in his apartment.
Moorhead Sgt. Thad Stafford says they have found evidence of a gun being shot.
"We got a call of a gunshot that was heard," Stafford said. "A tenant had called it in, saying there was some type of altercation with some acquaintances of his, an argument ensued and apparently a gunshot went off. Nobody was hit, nobody was injured."
Stafford says they did find evidence of a shot being fired and that there is no danger to the public. Nearby campuses were notified as a precaution.
The shooting is still being investigated.
