Burglars target Fargo strip malls; take cash and security cameras

FARGO (KFGO) - A number of Fargo businesses are being hit by burglars in an apparent rash of break-ins at strip malls.

Doug Anderson of Papa Murphy's says two of his family's pizza restaurants have been broken into within the past week. Anderson says the burglars seem to know what they're looking for--and know what to do when they get inside.

“They’re cutting through the wall between the businesses” Anderson said. “Once they’re through, the first thing they’re doing is busting into offices to look for security systems, disable them and actually take them with when they leave.”

Anderson says the burglars broke into a safe at one Papa Murphy's location, and stole his pickup and another safe from a second location.

Anderson says the burglaries have been happening at strip malls on North Broadway, 45th Street and on 32nd Avenue South.

Fargo police say they're not releasing anything at this point in the investigation.
