University of North Dakota sets inauguration for president

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The University of North Dakota is holding an inauguration ceremony to welcome its new president.

Mark Kennedy was named the school's 12th president in July. He took over for Robert Kelley, who held the post from 2008 to 2016.

Kennedy is a former U.S. congressman from Minnesota who previously served as director of the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Chester Fritz Auditorium.
