West Fargo (KFGO) - West Fargo celebrated the completion of the re-construction on Main Avenue. The four miles of work, done in phases, started in 2009.
Grant Levi, director of the North Dakota Department of Transportation called it an exciting day. He thanked drivers and businesses in the construction zone for their patience during the work.
The improvements include additional lanes to improve traffic flow, removal of a frontage road system that created congestation and now allows direct access to Main Avenue Businesses.
The seven year project cost nearly $61 million.
