In an exciting match that went back and forth almost until the end, the West Fargo Packers defeated the West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs in 4 sets, thanks in part to some great play by the Packers 5'11" junior, Darian Chwialkowski, who had 18 kills on the night! The Packers took set 1, 25-21, and the Mustangs came right back to take set 2, 25-23! About halfway through set 3, the West Fargo Packers started to take control of the match for good. The Packers would go on to win sets 3 and 4, both by the score of 25-17.
The West Fargo Packers improve to 18-12 on the season, 10-6 in region play, and are now 7-3 in their last 10 matches. The Fargo North Spartans will host the Packers next Tuesday night (October 25th) with the first serve set for 7:00pm. The Spartans are currently 16-11 on the season.
The West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs fall to 21-7 on the season, 12-4 in region play, and hold an impressive 8-2 record in their last 10 matches. The Mustangs will travel north on next Thursday (October 27th) to take on the Grand Forks Central Knights. The Knights are currently 4-22 on the season and 2-8 in their last 10 matches. First serve is set for 7pm.
Next Tuesday (October 25th) on 740 The Fan, we will feature two really good teams in a Class B Volleyball match-up! The Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page Spartans will host the Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans! The Titans will go into that matchup with a 19-8-1 record against the Spartans who are 20-8-1! First serve is at 7pm, with the pre-game show at approximately 6:45pm!
