Moorhead, MN (Learfield Data Services) - The flood diversion project on the Red River continues to be an issue on the Minnesota side of the border.
The Moorhead City Council unanimously voted Monday night to support a resolution which seeks to move the project forward.
This comes despite the state DNR's rejection of a permit for the project earlier this month, saying it is unreasonable.
The council's resolution says sandbagging the flood prone areas is not enough to protect them.
