Airport looks to revamp

MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot International Airport officials are looking to update its infrastructure in a plan expected to span 20 years.

New modern hangars, a redesigned taxiway and a vehicle preparation area for rental car companies are among some of the proposals being considered for inclusion in the plan.

Airport director Rick Feltner says the airport's new $43 million terminal does not need any change, however the rest of the airport needs some attention. One of their highest priorities is replacing the deteriorating hangars with new ones.

KLJ consultant Kent Penney says not all proposals would require airport spending. Some developments on airport property might include private investment.

Airport officials say they are seeking public input to help guide the process further.
