DAPL protester charged with attempted murder

MANDAN, ND (KFGO) - A woman has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly firing gunshots at law enforcement officers during the Dakota Access Pipeline protest.  

The Morton County States Attorney’s office has charged 37 year Red Fawn Fallis with attempted murder, preventing arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, criminal conspiracy to commit endangering by fire, maintaining a public nuisance and engaging in a riot.

Prosecutors say on Oct. 27th, Fallis fired three shots at law enforcement officers and refused to relinquish the gun until it was forcefully removed from by law enforcement.

Officers were assisting with removing protesters from private property and removing an illegal roadblock on Highway 1806.
