FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a bridge over Interstate 29 has received minimal damage after it was struck by the arm of a backhoe being hauled by a truck that passed under the structure.
Authorities said that the backhoe fell off its trailer Tuesday and briefly blocked the right lane. The Highway Patrol says officials have inspected the bridge and found it is safe.
There were no injuries in the crash, which remains under investigation.
