DETROIT LAKES, MINN. (KFGO) - The Detroit Lakes Police Department was notified through the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension that a generalized threat was made toward or against an unspecified school in northwest Minnesota.
Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander says as a precaution, all school buildings in the Detroit Lakes School District went into code yellow protocols Wed. afternoon. That involves locking the entrances to the buildings.
Those seeking admittance to the buildings had to be granted clearance from the building offices. Classes and school operations continued as normal at each of the buildings.
