BAGLEY, MINN. (KFGO) - Minnesota's newest casino opened Wednesday. More than 100 people were standing in line when doors opened at Shooting Star Casino near Bagley. It's smaller than the Shooting Star flagship casino in Mahnomen and features 170 slots and dining.
Bill Marsh, Gen. Mgr. of White Earth Tribal Casinos, says they did a thorough feasibility study two years ago and found the location ideal. The casino is located about 2 miles from US Hwy. 2 at the Ebro exit.
Marsh declined to discuss the cost of the new casino, but says the tribe expects a return on its investment in five years. Marsh wouldn't rule out expansion of the Bagley site in the future.
