FERGUS FALLS, MINN. (KFGO) - A jury is entering the second phase of the trial of a man charged with the murder of his father last June.
Dustin Deifel, 29, has been convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Rick Deifel at his parents home.
The prosecutor was asking for a conviction of premeditated murder arguing that Deifel planned the murder.
The jury is now considering whether Deifel was mentally ill at the time of the shooting.
