UPDATE
MOORHEAD (KFGO) - Moorhead police say three people were involved in an assault on a Concordia College student late Wednesday night.
The incident happened in the male victim's dorm room on campus. Lt. Tory Jacobson says at least one of those being sought knew the victim and may explain how the suspects were able to gain entry to Erickson Hall.
The victim received facial injuries not believed to be serious. A friend drove him to Sanford Medical Center for treatment. Jacobson says it's possible brass knuckles may have been used in the assault.
Investigators have not pinned down a motive for the assault. They hope to find out more when they're able to interview the student at length. Initial police contact was limited in order to give priority to medical treatment of his injuries.
The incident occurred around midnight but police were not notified until an hour later.
