Grand Forks, N.D. (KFGO) - A body partially encased in ice was found near downtown Grand Forks Wednesday afternoon.
The Grand Forks Police Department says a passerby spotted the body around 3:15 p.m. in the area of the railroad bridge that crosses the Red River.
It took investigators several hours to remove the body and process the scene.
The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Police say there is no early indication of foul play or ongoing danger to the public.
